Crypto Influencer Ben Armstrong ‘BitBoy’ Arrested in Florida During Livestream

Token FlashBy Token FlashMarch 26, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read
    • Ben Armstrong, also known as BitBoy, was arrested in Florida on March 25.
    • Armstrong faces multiple legal issues, including past arrests and lawsuits.
    • Hit Network severed ties with Armstrong in August 2023 over allegations.

Crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, known as BitBoy, was arrested on the evening of March 25 in Volusia County, Florida. Jail records confirm that Armstrong is currently being held without bail. His arrest follows a fugitive warrant, related to emails he sent to a judge during a legal proceeding where he represented himself.

Before his arrest, Armstrong took to social media to discuss the situation. On March 21, he posted on X  stating that he could “confirm the warrants for my arrest” as linked to emails he sent to Cobb County, Georgia, Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs. Armstrong had been self-representing himself in court when the communications occurred.

I can now confirm that the warrants for my arrest are due to me sending emails (as my own attorney by the way) to the DISHONORABLE Kimberly Childs of @cobbcountygovt who has NOW DELETED her Twitter lmao.

The details surrounding the specific charges remain unclear, but Armstrong had mentioned the possibility of the warrant in posts just days before being taken into custody.

Armstrong Faces Multiple Legal Issues and Arrests

This is not the first time the cryptocurrency figure has faced legal troubles. In September 2023, officials arrested Armstrong in Gwinnett County, Georgia, following a public dispute with his former business partner over a Lamborghini. Officials broadcasted the confrontation live on social media. Authorities later charged Armstrong with loitering and prowling, as well as simple assault. They also discovered a firearm and illegal drugs in his vehicle during the arrest.

Armstrong has been no stranger to controversy. In March 2023, he became involved in a class-action lawsuit that accused him of promoting Binance and selling unregistered securities. Judiciary bodies settled the case in August 2024, with Armstrong and NBA star Jimmy Butler agreeing to pay $340,000 without admitting to any wrongdoing.

Hit Network Cuts Ties With Armstrong

Hit Network’s parent company terminated its business partnership with Armstrong when operating BitBoy Crypto between August to September 2023. The parent company cut ties with Armstrong because it expressed worry about his substance abuse claims together with his reported inappropriate behavior toward staff members. Armstrong declined the accusations while stating this was a planned takeover attempt.Lawyers representing Armstrong and his current legal counsel remain undisclosed to the public. Contacts made to reach him for a commentary have resulted in no response. Armstrong’s unknown arrest reason contributes to an increasing number of legal troubles he faces.
